Featured speakers:
Kate Kaminski is a writer and underground filmmaker who also teaches video production and film studies at University of Southern Maine. She is one of the co-creators of Delicious TV?s Totally Vegetarian (seen on public television) and, with partner Betsy Carson as the creative team Gitgo Productions, the comedy series Willard Beach. Her films and videos have been screened in festivals all over the world. She is currently in post-production on 20/20, a Gitgo project produced for Damnationland, a collection of short horror films to be screened at various venues in fall 2010. She is also in pre-production on a feature project to be produced some time in 2011.
Expatriate of Brooklyn, New York, Dave Weinberg (daveweinberg.com) is an award winning creative services professional and visual communications problem solver. Creative Director and Consultant he specializes in integrated graphic and marketing communications, across media. A founding board member of the Maine chapter of AIGA, the professional association for design, Dave is committed to the mission within Maine’s creative community – to advance designing as a strategic tool, professional craft and vital cultural force. Dave is also an accomplished Illustrator. He holds a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in NYC. A part time instructor at USM, Dave teaches Graphic Communications and Cross-Media Publishing in the technology department. Peter Shellenberger is a photographer and film maker who teaches at the Maine College of Art. A Graduate of Temple University, Peter has extensive experience teaching and working professionally. An enthusiastic and diverse artist Peter has been an integral part of Maine’s film making community.
